Coins for Crosshill

Boxes have been emptied and counted. £660 has been raised so far. Anyone who has not received a coin box, or who wishes a full box to be collected and replaced should contact Graham Neilson or their Session Elder.

Recipe Book Launch and Coffee Morning

The Crosshill recipe book was launched at a coffee morning held on Saturday 22nd June. It was very well attended and the home baking was second to none. Everyone had a great morning and so far the sum of £425 has so far been raised for church funds. Well done to everyone involved.

Anyone who would like to buy a recipe book (£3.99) should see Laura Gilmour, Dorothy Allan, or Fiona McDonald..

This week in Crosshill:

From 21st October until 21st November North Lanarkshire Council and running a ‘Give a Gift Card”  appeal. Crosshill Parish Church has agreed to support this appeal.

Help make someone’s Christmas.




The indoor Bowling Club are using the large Hall from 2pm – 4pm. New members are always welcome and no experience is required.

Floral Art are using the Large hall from 6pm.


Boxercise in large hall at 7pm.


Foodbank in large hall.

Urban Saints in large hall from 6.30pm


Coffee and Conversation in large hall at 11am – unlimited tea and coffee for 50p lots of fantastic home baking available for a donation to funds.

Open Church is at 12 noon with a short reflective service at 12.15pm.

Girls Brigade from 6pm.

Morning Worship  at 11.30am will be led by Ian Douglas. There will be a short Session meeting following the service in the small hall.

Saturday 9th November

The Guild is organising a theatre outing to the matinee of Our Lady’s Musical Society production of Kiss Me Kate. Anyone wishing tickets at a cost of £14 should see Janet Wotherspoon.

Tuesday 12th November 2019

Kirk Safeguarding Training takes place in Uddingston Burnhead from 7pm-9pm. This is compulsory for all Session members and if you have not yet attended your training please contact W. Talbot to arrange future training.

Sunday 8th December 2019

Crosshill Christmas Afternoon Tea. The Church are running an afternoon tea for members of the congregation and their families. Information has been previously distributed and attendance return slips should now be returned to one of the organisers.  Copy slips are available in the Church and the Church Halls.

Urban Saints Group 

This group are looking for adult volunteers to assist on Wednesday evenings from 6.15pm and 7.30pm. Anyone interested should approach Elaine Jamieson or June Hendry for further information. Anyone wishing to volunteer will require to apply for PVG safeguarding disclosure through the coordinator Sandra Farrance.

Prayer Group – Until further notice the Prayer Group will not be meeting on a Tuesday. Informal Meetings of the group will be arranged. Please keep posting prayer cards in the boxes in the church – these will be uplifted each Sunday.

The Basics Food Bank would appreciate any donations of non perishable foodstuffs or toiletries that can be made up into food parcels for those in need.
